Greetings all..

As President, I bring before the Senate a summary of the next 5 turns.

First things first, the trade approved by the Senate will be completed...

Workers:

More of the same... Chopping Jungle around Tolosa and Improving the area around the Capital and Vienne

Scouts and Naval:

Continued Explorations

Cities:

Bibracte: Library complete in 3 turns. I would like to follow it with a Granary(9). This will help with health and growth and will set the stage for a wonder build next.

Vienne: Worker complete in 7 turns. This would not be covered by this set of turns, but I will suggest our UU, the Gallic Warrior to be the next build for discussion.

Tolosa: Monument complete in 1 turn. I would like to follow this with a Spearman (11 turns.. will be reduced by current worker action). The Spearman would be followed by a Settler.

Senators (or their appointed deputies in case of absence), please vote yea, nay or abstain to the proposal set forth above.

4. The President must deliver a full and comprehensive report before the People and the Senate after every period of ten turns, or when he reaches a point where a decision of the People, the Senate, or the Supreme Court is required to continue play, whichever may come first.

4a. In addition, the President must request the Senate's authorization to continue play. In this request, he will include a brief summary of his plans regarding foreign affairs, city production, and unit orders for those 10 turns.

Did i miss something? When did this change to 5 turns or did it? Is this at the presidents descresion so it can be between 1 - 10 turns, whatever the president decides? I remember a precedent being set when alphabet was discovered is this the new order?

President's discretion.... With Alphabet and other advances, there is more going on to keep track of. A 5 turn report keeps me sane instead of having a massive 10 turn report to come up with. It also allows us to keep a closer eye on trade possibilities..

Thought I would clarify something real quick... Since the discussion is now in effect to discontinue this game and turn the current save into a GOTM of sorts, I thought it best to hold off playing the approved turns. If we do the GOTM option, and everyone gets to play their own version starting at turn 130, then I think it best that they are allowed to move in their own direction in relation to strategy, trades, and so forth.
