I have Civ4 Gold/ Warlords. Other than the occasional time victory on the lowest level, I'm pretty much hopeless.
I'm looking for specific recommendations on map size, settings, options, and victory conditions. My plan is to play through several of these scenarios to help isolate the areas that I'm having troubles with.

Too often when browsing forums like this I see specific information pertaining to levels/goals that I don't/can't play.

Thanks!

Problme With Civilization IV!

Hello im new to the forums!

Now i have bought the Civilization IV game and i have installed on my PC... i have even installed the Direct X 9.0c ... but when i try to run the game ... i can't because i receive an error about my graphics!

I know the recomeded system requirments! I've got Vista, naturally. Anyway, I tried five or so times, but I had tons of troubles. I never got any pop-up screen telling me about installing the game, and when I tried to check the CD-ROM drive on the computer area to see if I could somehow install the game manually, everything froze up, and I had to remove the battery to actually get the computer to get back up (I know, horrible for the computer). So, the point is: Is Civ Four even compatible with Vista? If so, does anyone have any suggestions for how I can get the installation to work? And if it's not possible, is there some sort of patch that will allow Civ 4 to work with Vista? Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Three sliders in BtS?

I have only Vanilla.
