| Wow. I did not think I would have to read that much the next time I came back. Facinating reads everyone.
I would suggest a threat to bomb a muslim site would encourage a terroist attack... Hate breeds hate. A threat might, but action would make the people think twice about following through with their leaders orders.
There was 3k 'insurgents' in Iraq prior to the US invasion. There are 30k now. True, but where did they come from? Most are not Iraqis but from Syria and Iran. Short term, it is good that they are fighting in Iraq and not the U.S. Long term, who knows.
Thinking as a terrorist... I bomb something, America bombs something of ours, new terrorists inspired, cycle repeat! That is not thinking as a terrorist. It is thinking rationally. They actually think that the West will cave... eventually... oh because it has.

Seared, Ness and LC, you have heard one 'solution' to the terrorist problem and have voiced your disagreements. What 'solution' do you have for the problem? What should be done that is not being done? I think that the best way to convince those who disagree is to provide a superior plan. |
