| | This thread is for the senate to vote on the proposed draft of an Article of Law: DECISION By Majority, the Senate decides the following: Resignation Law If an elected official resigns, then his deputy (if available) will manage the position on an interim basis, until a replacement can be elected by the people. The deputy may run in said election. If no deputy is available, then an election must be held as soon as possible to fill the position. JUSTIFICATION This law is required to remove confusion around what happens when an official resigns. The reason for the deputy holding the role on an interim basis is allow the game to continue in the short term where possible whilst elections are run to find a replacement. --------------------------------------------- All votes are to be cast in person with a call of Aye in favor, Nay if not in favor, or Abstain if indifferent to the proposed draft.
